My passion for photography came from watching my Dad take pictures when I was a child. I was born in Amsterdam, Holland and moved with my family to America when I was 9 years old. As a young man, I always took pictures and was interested in capturing action in my shots. I ended up working as a photographer’s assistant in Manhattan, NY in the late 1960’s. There I learned techniques and composition. It was a great job, but I did not like living in the city, and in 1972 I traveled to the west coast and settled in Lake Tahoe, CA.
